Every year, August 10th is S'mores Appreciation Day! Thinking about S’mores Day is likely to give you a warm, gooey feeling! This sweet summer celebration turns the spotlight on a popular campfire treat – the S’more. It’s traditionally created by sandwiching together two graham crackers, putting marshmallow and chocolate in the middle, then melting them over a bonfire.
The S’more apparently got its name because anybody tucking into this wickedly delicious treat is likely to want “some more”. US Girl Scouts included a recipe for the dessert in a 1920s handbook, but it’s thought the sweet may actually be much older.
