Her is a black, very hard to find, very lightly pre-worn T-Shirt, size Medium that has a colorful graphic that fills most of the front of the T-Shirt with the one word: DARE in different colors and fonts. On one sleeve, a police shield that says that this was from the DARE police program in Minnetrista Minnesota. (Remember the DARE to say no to drugs and violence program?!) Nothing on the back. The T-Shirt measures 20 inches across the chest measured under the arms and from the back of the neckband to the bottom hem is 29 inches. No holes or stains and 100% cotton. Looks like it was never worn!
And so you remember..
Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) is an international education program founded by Daryl F. Gates that seeks to prevent use of controlled drugs, membership in gangs, and violent behavior. DARE, which has expanded globally since its founding in 1984, is a demand-side drug control strategy of the American War on Drugs. Students who enter the program sign a pledge not to use drugs or join gangs and are taught by local police officers about the dangers of drug use in an interactive in-school curriculum which lasts ten weeks.
